Easter 08 at Halls Gap

Camping this year at halls Gap was a little different this year. Mainly because of the absence of a few campers in the French's and the Wilsons. Never the less push on we did. Those that were there included us, the Rollauers, Lamaros, Spicers, Butterworths, Brendan, Jo and Mark.

As usual we had a camp fire going most of the time as well as a few beers and also pleanty to eat thanks to Margie. We also added a trip to McKenzie falls this year as well as the climb up the mountain.

Sat we had our usual hit of racquetball followed by a few beers and best of all we got the quaddie. Sun saw us head off to the Stawell races with a select few having a win and the rest of us just donating to the TAB.

Later Sunday arvo the rains came down with another heavy dump on Monday arvo. What a storm it was with huge hail stones and wind gusts as well. Probably the heaviest rain seen for many years.

Monday afternoon also saw Wens, Shoana and Kaz take over the kids entertainment program. The kids all seemed to have fun and it looks like the girls will be doing it all again next year.

Anyway it was another great Easter camping trip and we are all looking forward to next year.

Ballarat Camping 08

Ballarat's "A Welcome Stranger" caravan park was the host of yet another great camping adventure. Although a little down on numbers those who did manage to turn up had a great time with activities including swimming in the new pool, tennis, mini golf, cricket and of course the Aus open on the new big screen. New commers Mat & Bree wondered what they had got themselves in for on the first night but by Sun night they were just one of the crew. Things were a little quiet though on the grog front without the French crew this year but as you can see from the vid the girls tried their best to keep things the grog cold.

As always another great Australia Day weekend but now we are already looking forward to next year.

Morning Glory C/Park Holidays 2007 08

Hot, Hot, Hot is the only way to describe this years camping trip to Echuca. By 9 in the morning the temp had usually reached 35 degrees. By lunch 40 was the norm and we all were looking for some relief either by the pool or a dip in the river.

Cody McCallum

Welcome, Cody James McCallum
Well just look at this guy. How cute is he (must take after his uncle). Born to proud parents, Beck and Neil on 7 July 2006. Wends and Karls went up to visit the little fella and took these photos so here they are for you all to see. Unfortunatly I had to stay home and look after our dogs but look forward to travelling north shortly to have a hold myself. Cheers. Chris & Wens
